The Industrial Research Center carried out geophysical studies and aerial magnetic radiological surveys with the aim of searching and prospecting for many metallic and radioactive ores and minerals, especially in the southern regions, where nine regions were covered by the geophysical aerial survey.
Through the results of this survey, as well as the results of regional geological mapping and exploratory geological studies, The discovery of many evidences of metallic and non-metallic minerals such as iron, gold, phosphate and radioactive elements such as uranium, thorium, etc., all of which need more detailed geological studies, especially the southeastern region of our country, as well as the need to complete the regional geological mapping project for the Tibesti region, in which many metallic ores are expected to exist.
